Finally, a skincare video! I am putting all that pharmacy schooling to good use. It took me over a year to test and tweak my recipe until I know it works. This is comparable to store bought without the extra ingredients that can harm and/or Irritate us!
Pesky under eye bags and dark circles go away! Anyone can use this if they have these skin problems. Skin care should not be based on age since we have different issues and skin type.
After using my DIY eye gel, I see my dark circles and puffy eyes starting to disappear in minutes! Woot Woot! The recipe is down below and it last me about 3 months. Refrigerate if use pure aloe vera gel and for best results!
Eye gel is lighter than a eye cream. With a lighter formula, you will instantly feel your eye's skin area soaked up with moisture. Gel is great for oily skin too! This also helps makes my skin feels soft.
Did you know that apply eye gel or eye cream improperly can actually cause puffy eyes and dark circles? Using too much can get into our eyes and it leads to irritation. We will wake up with swollen eyes. With a clean finger, scoop a pea size to apply for both eyes.
With your ring finger, gently tap the product under the eye and underneath the brow.
Never place it on the eyelids because the eye product will travel about an inch away from where the product was. This will help avoid getting red eyes and irritation.
Gently tap the eye gel or cream to melt into the skin. Some say to go clockwise or counter clockwise when applying to avoid accumulating fluids into our sinus canal. For me, it didn't make any difference but be gentle. Our eye area is so thin and delicate. Treat it like a princess and spoil your eyes out!
Use it daily to prevent dark circles and puffy eyes. For me, I use it when my skin area around my eyes are dry and when I wake up looking like a hot mess from lack of sleep, or watched a sappy movie. Fact, crying retains salty fluids under our eyes that can make our eyes look puffy.
Even if you decide not to make your own amazing eye gel, try to purchase skin care products that are in a tube or air tight pump bottle. Many eye care products are sold in clear jars and it loses it effectiveness over time from light exposure and air. Since my jars are not opaque and I make this every 2 to 3 months, I always store skin care products away for heat and light with a makeup bag to be on the safe side.
After laying my eye gel, I apply eye cream over it for anti-aging benefits. Click here for DIY EYE CREAM tutorial.
